Gaetz Child Care Programs
All children attending the center are supervised at all times.
We serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years in 3 separate age groups. Infants from 6 weeks up to 16 months, toddlers from 16 to 33 months, and preschoolers from 33 months to 5 years. Kiddie Kove is licensed for 30 preschoolers including 10 school age, 21 toddlers and 8 infants for a total of 59 children.
We subscribe to a child development philosophy of promoting education. We aim to educate the whole child: physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. We are a non-denominational daycare center. We accept children without regard to race, color, creed or national origin.
Our program plan has been developed by a staff person qualified as a teacher and is evaluated annually in writing.
The goals and objectives of our program are to promote physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of children that is age appropriate. See specific age programs for details.
Specific activities to promote the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of a child in a manner consistent with the child’s cultural background are provided for during daily circle time and art, as well as throughout the day during other activities.
Progress reports are completed, and parent conferences are offered, by the teacher twice a year. These reports are placed in the children’s file documenting the child’s intellectual, physical, social, and emotional progress.
Each age category served by our program has a schedule of the day that provides a balance of indoor and outdoor activities.
We sponsor a program that balances quiet activities with more active play. We provide for teacher initiated activities as well as those initiated by the child.
We offer the children a variety of equipment and materials including, but not limited to: fenced in outdoor playground with hard surfaces for biking; climbing equipment; swings; grass areas; indoor activities such as playdoh; dramatic play; multicultural toys, etc.
This program is made available to parents upon request and can be reviewed by them at any time.
